Who We Are

Service is the
catalyst for growth

Volunteers Organization Africa (VOA) was founded in 2021 by Oloto Nmesoma Diva as a birthday outreach to an orphanage in Owerri. What started as one person and one visit has grown into a structured organization reaching thousands across Nigeria.

At VOA, we believe serving others is a powerful catalyst for individual development. Through acts of service, volunteers hone valuable skills, build confidence, and unlock their full potential.

Our Mission
To build a global community of passionate volunteers trained to lead through service and create lasting impact in the society.
Our Vision
A kinder world united by service, where communities thrive through mutual care, inspired change, and collective growth.

What We Do

Three gaps VOA
bridges every day

Most aid efforts fail because of three critical gaps. VOA was built specifically to address all three โ€” with full transparency and receipts after every outreach.

01
Misdirected Support
Many donations never reach the right people due to poor accountability. VOA publishes full financial reports after every outreach โ€” every naira is accounted for publicly.
02
Mismatch of Needs
Charity often provides what people think is needed, not what communities truly require. Before every outreach we visit communities first to ask and observe what they actually need.
03
Unstructured Volunteering
Many volunteers want to help but lack direction. Through REP we teach the value of small, consistent actions โ€” getting 1% better every day creates sustainable change.
How We Bridge The Gap

Our three-part solution

๐Ÿ”
Right Direction
Full transparency โ€” clear details of every naira received and spent, guaranteeing the less privileged are adequately helped.
๐ŸŽฏ
Right Needs
Before every outreach we visit communities days ahead to ask what they truly need. We deliver support that is relevant and life-changing.
๐ŸŒŠ
Right Guidance
Through REP โ€” Ripple Effect Program โ€” we teach volunteers the value of small consistent actions and getting 1% better every day.
Impact So Far

From one visit
to thousands touched

Every number represents a real person whose life was touched by a VOA volunteer.

Our Bold Vision
Introducing: City of Hope

A sanctuary built
for those forgotten

City of Hope is VOA's long-term vision โ€” a first-of-its-kind, self-sustaining estate in Nigeria built entirely for the less privileged. Not a charity project. A complete community where people can live with dignity, access healthcare, education, and build a future.

๐Ÿ
Modern Orphanage
Care, love, and quality education for children who need a home and a future.
๐Ÿฅ
Free Hospital
Accessible healthcare for the poor โ€” where no one is turned away for lack of money.
๐Ÿ›–
Homeless Shelter
Safe, dignified housing for those who have nowhere to go โ€” a real place to call home.
๐ŸŽ“
Vocational Centres
Schools, skills training, rehabilitation spaces โ€” tools to rebuild lives permanently.
By 2030 and beyond
Our bold vision for lasting impact is to touch the lives of a minimum of 10,000 Nigerians โ€” both volunteers and the less privileged. City of Hope is the physical manifestation of everything VOA stands for: dignity, hope, and a kinder world united by service.
Aligned with UN SDGs
SDG 1 โ€” No Poverty: lifting vulnerable people from cycles of deprivation
SDG 2 โ€” Zero Hunger: ensuring access to food and nutrition
SDG 3 โ€” Good Health: free hospital for accessible healthcare
SDG 4 โ€” Quality Education: training for orphans and the less privileged
SDG 10 โ€” Reduced Inequalities: opportunities for the marginalized
SDG 11 โ€” Sustainable Communities: safe shelter and community living

The REP Program

Ripple Effect
Program

REP is VOA's structured volunteer development program. It teaches that small, consistent actions compound into extraordinary impact โ€” getting 1% better every day creates sustainable change.

๐Ÿ”’ Strictly for VOA volunteers. REP is an internal program โ€” members are selected and invited by VOA leadership. It is not a public application but a commitment to serve, grow, and lead through structured accountability.
๐Ÿ“–
Monthly Book Club
Every month REP members read a selected book together and discuss insights โ€” building intellectual growth alongside service.
๐ŸŽฏ
Goal Setting & Accountability
Members set personal, reading, and volunteer goals each month with structured check-ins and peer accountability.
๐ŸŒŠ
Volunteer Outreaches
REP members are the backbone of VOA's outreach operations โ€” trained to serve with purpose, empathy, and real impact.
โญ
Points & Recognition
Members earn REP points for every goal completed and act of service โ€” celebrating those who go above and beyond.
The REP Philosophy
"Getting 1% better every day doesn't just change you โ€” it creates a ripple that changes everything around you."

Your support
fills empty hearts

It turns donations into destiny. Every naira, every effort, goes exactly where it's needed โ€” because we show you every receipt.

Without Support
A little boy named Tunde goes to bed on an empty stomach. A young mother Aisha holds her feverish daughter all night because the nearest hospital won't treat her without money. A volunteer David comes with a good heart but without guidance leaves discouraged.
With Support
Tunde receives a meal, school supplies, and encouragement โ€” his dream of becoming a teacher suddenly feels possible. Aisha walks into VOA's clinic and her child is treated with dignity. David joins REP and sees his 1% effort multiply into lives he never imagined touching.
